“There’s no one who causes more trouble in this world than humans. They drive me crazy. I get so mad when I think about humans that I could scream!” – Snoopy
“…For without the Fall, there would be no need of the Incarnation and Redemption, the two cardinal points of Christian belief.” – W.J. McGucken
This is why I speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.’” – Matthew 13:13

For those of you who normally come to this blog page to get your ‘ear full’ of Your Favorite Blockhead through the weekly podcast, I apologize in advance if this is a letdown for you. It has been a while since I just sat down and laid out any raw emotions on my blog. IF you wish to read on, you have been duly warned.

Honestly, there is nothing to be concerned about. I am just trying to be a little bit more of an open diary entry for my listeners and my readers. When I record my podcast, my emphasis is more on content-based storytelling and not driven by emotion. In summation, that means that the show is only 25-50% or so therapeutic for me. I am not saying that my content is not as authentic as it can possibly be. I AM saying that it is not as much of a release of the stresses and troubles that I carry as I would like it to be. Maybe blogging more often can help with the creative flow, but even this can leave me empty and hopeless, just like you might feel reading this now.

Prayer. Fervent, intentional, and intimate prayer is the ONLY therapy I have found that remotely comes close to releasing the inner wars I never was supposed to fight alone in the first place. Sessions at the Runnin’ Free Ranch are useful tools and helpful to all who go, but even the counselors there would want all visitors to revert back to the truth that is the power of prayer and the Holy Bible. After that, diving deep into Scripture to see that so many characters from the Old Testament wrestled with the same ‘counterfeit gods’ and obstacles that left them empty and searching for Him, the ONLY solace for a restless soul that can even substantially be filled.

I truly believe that all I have ever truly wanted to be was a good storyteller, and it has been beyond gratifying to read and grasp that the Greatest Storyteller of all time from the plains of Galilee told stories in the format of ‘parable’, “spellbinding to men”. I am coming to terms with the fact that not everyone will understand me. He was not always understood by the masses. He was intimate and explained in detail with his disciples, men who were FAR from flawless.

If you are curious of what I am reading as the year comes to an end, here is a link to book The Parables of Peanuts by Robert L. Short:
